Navman F20 service packs

Hi,

I have purchased a Navman F20, but the connectivity kit for updates is not available yet.

However, this kit only seems to be a standard usb cable and their software.

Could I download Navman's "Patcher80.exe" and use a normal usb cable?

Regards

Paul

Re: Navman F20 service packs

Hi Paul.
You can use any USB cable to connect F20 to PC, but you need to purchase from Navman all the rest (software, drivers).

Navman F20 is not on our list of recommended GPS devices as it does not support customised POIs.

Re: Navman F20 service packs

Navman F20 now supports Custom POI's and you can NOT download and install the Patcher80.exe and use it as it needs the F20 software installed to update it.

F20 Update

I keep getting the "failed to connect to device" error message whenever I try to open the service pack.

Oh and you can't store POIs on the SD Card. With 100 MB of internal memory, you can store quite a few 300K POI files there instead.

The SD Card is only for maps.

where do you put the csv files and bmp files for custom poi?
thanks si
