Posted by gophersizebuzz iPhone navigation application I'm interested in purchasing an iPhone navigation app. Does anyone have any recommendations. Right now I'm leaning towards Navigon. Also, is it possible to use custom POI's? |

Posted by ddolbel iphone gps app There is all ways the map application that is built in to the Iphone, that has been really handy, the only draw back is you can't add extra POI's to it. |

I never heard of Navigon. I have a Garmin GPS. I also use CoPilot Live for iPhone. It has quite reliable maps, extra POIs, spoken voice directions, speed-variable zoom, customized trip status displays, including travel time, ETA and remaining distance. I like automatic portrait and landscape display switching. It is available in the appstore. |

Posted by garybutler Free Mobile phone Satnav which works offline You can download maps for each individual country you visit without paying a penny I downloaded all maps for central Europe and it worked well. Just like a commercial satnav with voice and arrowed directions Less reliable for POI's than a commercial satnav but not too bad either I was very happy with it It didn't use any of my phone data which I had turned off just to be sure If you don't have plenty of storage on your phone you could always install the maps as needed. |
