| Posted by Darkie Where to load POI files on your SD card Do I load the POI files to the Garmin SD card provided with the maps on it, with the unit or do I need to put the files on another SD card to load them? When the POI files are loaded are they saved to the unit or does it read off the SD card? Cheers |

| Posted by roadrider01 Where to load POI files on your SD card I agree with the previous post. It probably would be better to load the POIs directly into the unit. If you loaded them on the SD card it would read them off the card only when the card was installed but you should be able to do it either way. Hope this helps. |

It depends on the unit. If you can, keep the POIs seperate and in their own folder. It'll make updating them easier later. I have Garmin Mobile XT (among others) and store the POIs on an SD card in a Garmin\POI directory. |
