| Posted by adrianmellican66 Suzuki Vitara - See my own POIs on GPS Hi Hopefully someone can help me. I have a new Suzuki Vitara and it has a GPS system installed. It appears to be Garmin based. Suzuki have given instructions on how to add my own POIs. Using a CSV file I have now added safety camera locations. However I cannot see the safety cameras on the map like I can for the Suzuki installed POIs. I am not sure if the GPS is restricted to allow 'my POIs' to be added but cannot show them on the map. Do I have to add a bmp file somewhere in the file structure? Thanks |
| Posted by getutpal2day for GArmin Download the GPX format and use poi loader from garmin. You may have to download each poi state-wise to a folder and then upload it as the whole folder. It works for me I am using Garmin nuvi 50lm |
| Posted by david.holness4 Not Garmin The latest Suzuki's use a Bosch system not Garmin. I have a Vitara and have tried to get the myPOIwarnings to work. They have loaded and I can search them but they don't show on the map or give a warning despite me having set everything as instructed in the handbook. No help from the dealer they don't seem to have a clue. I had to do a fair bit of manipulation to get from a .GPX file to a .CSV in the right format. |
