Hi, I have just registered here as I want to update my Primo iGO GPS SD card - questions: 1. are there only POI updates here (including speed cameras etc), no updated maps? 2. I have found that the download files are all txt format - which for the speedcam file (DE - Germany) is the same format as on my SD card however all of the other PO files on the SD Card have an extension of poi (and are a packed character file - looks like chinese when opened with notepad), whereas the downloads are txt. I guess I need some form of conversion program or should I have downloaded the iGO KML format? Thanks for any guidance Regards, Ed. |
| Posted by ipapa-GDT4 Answering own question. Answering one of my own questions - from another post, it seems I need to download the KML files NOT the TXT files for the POI files !! I wish I had realised this earlier. Also it would be nice if there were complete packages of all POI category files in one zip file per country, then not so many download actions would be needed when, like I am, one wants to bring the software up to the latest level.
