| Posted by HwyStar Garmin GPSMAP 441S will not update Hi all, My Garmin GPSMAP 441S is running system software v4.0. I'm trying to update it to v4.7, so I downloaded and ran the update to an SD card as instructed. It creates a "Garmin" folder on the card with the 'gupdate.gcd' file on it just fine, but when I install it to the unit and power On, it doesn't recognize that it's an update and passes by. I CAN backup the current settings onto the SD card so I know the unit recognizes it. Do I need to take that 'gupdate.gcd' file out of the folder and put it on the root of the card? Thanks! Joe |
