I fixed it, and narrowed the cause down to one of two issues: 1. I had formatted the card as ExFAT. I'm not sure what this even is. I thought maybe it was an Apple implementation of FAT32. Maybe the firmware doesn't support ExFAT. 2. But the more likely candidate was, I had a space in the name of the card. I had called the card "GARMIN MAPS". So I reformatted as FAT32, changed the name to eliminate the space, and reinstalled the maps and they are now working. Hope this helps someone.
