| Posted by beccahoo Garmin POI loaded but not working whilst driving Hi I am looking for help that does not seem to apply to others - I cannot seem to successfully upload updated POIs for fixed speed/traffic cameras. POIloader tells me 1000+ POIs have been uploaded but when driving around, no notifications come out in areas where it notified me before (and I am sure there are cameras there). I have followed all instructions here : http://www.gps-data-team.com/pda-gps-navigation/viewtopic.php?t=3418 It has worked in the past (about 3 years ago) but now I am having the problems mentioned above. In fact, only the mobile speed cam alerts beep however no alerts made for fixed speed or red light cameras. Feels like my garmin is not even switched on! There is also a road that has its speed reduced from 70 to 60.. is there a way I can update this? So desperate. Please help! Bec |
| Posted by beccahoo Updating Garmin POI? It's been awhile now and no change to my Garmin not beeping at certain intersections where (a) it used to beep AND (b) there is a speeding camera at those points for sure. It seems to beep at correct spots in the Melbourne city though! If anyone can point me to a how-to update POIs, I am happy to contribute so that the POI downloads can be up to date for the west side of Melbourne. |

| Posted by beccahoo not quite solved but able to live with! I don't think a hard reset would change anything compared to when I delete the loaded poi files. What I've done to solve my problem so far is: > delete the loaded poi files > loaded my old poi files from backed up data > loaded only one new poi safety camera file from downloads list This way, my old POI beeps where the new POI does not beep.. and i am hoping that the NEW poi will beep where my old poi does not... |
