| Posted by Glenn44 How do I get custom POI proximity alert Hi I have just got a Nuvi 2569. I have successfully installed some custom POI on it and are displayed the the map. But it doesn't show up in the Proximity Alert menu on the 2569. What do I need to do to fix this. :( |

| Posted by kevin.hutch POI Loader feature Unfortunately Garmin do not allow you to selectively set alerts in the GPS only all on or all off. Setting within each Custom File in done on the PC with the POI loader, using the "Manual" feature instead of the "Express" feature thus allowing you to set the distance as well. |

Use the Manual POI Loader feature, as explained above 4. Use GPX file with proximity alerts ( found here: https://poi.gps-data-team.com/ ) 5.
