Igo8 satnav navigation app not working

I have an in car, satnav GPS (no name) that was working fine until recently. Now when I tap navigation it says it failed to load last time and asks if I want to restore factory defaults (including the Europe maps I suppose?) as I have no choice, cos it gives me nothing... tried both yes and no, and still nothing. the other functions still work, GPS lat/long state, clock, calculator etc, it just appears that the navigation app has failed. I have tried finding the appropriate site to re-download it but am getting lost in the maze.
The system info details are as follows -
ROM Version: 84.PM.D.NE-5.020131126
Software Version: VN.2.0.13.08.12
OEM Info:
Platform ID: 5946504E44383243
Device ID: E3B09397D3FE67FE
RAM: 95.6 MB/128.0 MB
Flash:0.23GB/4.00GB

Please advise. Thank you in advance

Trying to restore navigation on Platform ID: 5946504E4438324

I am assuming you are running Naviextras iGO on a Windows CE platform; if so, check the directory still exists.

Select the icon 'Navco' which takes you to the navigation exe file path. It should read \ResidentFlash\* IGO\iGO.exe (*being the country of your map of choice).

If you don't see this address path then tap the icon [...] next to the address path line. You should see a file 'Resident Flash' double tap it and the country file or files should appear with the suffix IGO after it. Click on the appropriate country (there may only be one) then the icons 'Utility' & '? iGO.exe' appears. Tap the '? iGO.exe icon and the screen will go back to the address path screen this time with the appropriate address path visible. Back pedal out through the screens and try the 'Navigation' icon.

If the navigation still doesn't launch do the following:-

If you are running Windows CE then select the icon 'Explorer', then YES to enter; double tap on 'My Device' you should see the file 'Resident Flash' again double click and * IGO (*being the country of your map of choice) double click the file 'IGO' The navigation system should launch from the Windows CE. If the file isn't there you need to 'search' for the file within Windows and cut and paste it in the appropriate directory and return to the 'Navco' menu and follow the above instructions.

Hope this works for you!

Re: igo8 satnav navigation app not working

I also had this problem, some IGO file is damaged, or the SD card is damaged. I would use another card and reinstall the program.

Fatal Error IGO8 navi issue resolved

I had a similar issue with the SD card. I did a scan of the card with PC which found errors. I clicked "Fix Errors" and tried it back in the head unit. All is good now. Try at your own risk, but worked for me. It was showing a "Fatal Error" and kept rebooting nav program.
