| Posted by Baz57 POI Help - audio notification Looking for help with POIs. I'm doing a cross country trip and want to set my NUVI 50 to notify me with a sound when I get close to a rest stop. I've downloaded the POI Installer, but I'm not understanding which files I need to download to get the audio notification. Is there anything I need to do once I download the file and run the POI Installer. I'm leaving Oct 11th, so I need help ASAP. Thanks |
| Posted by johmazz2006 sound file Download the .wav or MP3 sound file with the same name as the POI you download and make sure they are in the same directory. |
| Posted by rodney_button Sound File The Nuvi 50 requires the MP3 file for sound, as well as the POI file for location. The POI file may be GPI, CSV, GPX, etc. Later model Nuvis use the WAV file for sound instead of the MP3 file. The BMP file is required for the symbol on the map. |
