| Posted by epoi Traffic receiver not working Does anyone have the ongoing issues of the traffic receiver not working on the Garmins? I've had 3 different ones now that have had the traffic receiver but with all of them they stop working after about 10 - 12 months or so and it's not cheap to buy a new lead. I'm a bit over it and frustrated that the traffic receiver doesn't work. Any tips to fix this easily |
| Posted by uheenada Traffic receiver not working under warranty Receivers don't break normally. Are you sure it's the receiver? Usually when I have traffic issues, it's normally glitch in software/firmware. Such as I haven't had HD traffic for several months ever since Garmin updated to 3.3 then Garmin couple days ago came out with 3.8 and all of sudden I'm getting full bars. PS if it's broken within 12months, you can get a replacement under warranty from Garmin. |
| Posted by chrisp8 Traffic receiver not working - Check the cable of your power/ receiver from Garmin, make sure they are in good condition. ( no break or crack etc). - Call Garmin support team at your country to get trouble shoot the problem. Sometimes was simple issue. - Enable function on Garmin GPS or pay subscription for safety or live traffic update per yearly subscription. |

| Posted by Guest Traffic notices not visible/available? Updating the map on my Garmin DS 60, hoping it will work though I doubt it was really needed. Have totally LOST my local traffic feature on this thing and can't find how to get it back. From what I just saw here it seems I'm not the only one with traffic alert problems/failures. I don't want to give up on Garmin -or- have to buy another 'new' one at SAM's Club. This is more than a bit worrisome. Gregg A |
| Posted by brianmarsden Trafic receiver Mine has been working with no problems. Sits on the dash in the sun all the time and works. Only useful between Sydney and Newcastle. Nothing out off the major roads. |
| Posted by Guest Traffic Stopped Working? Software Bug for Sure! After reading all these issues, I'm convinced Garmin's software is the problem. My traffic worked fine until I did the last update! |
