Garmin 3590 LMT Speed Limits

How can I save the speed limits I enter in the device so they don't disappear whenever there is a firmware or map upgrade. It is so frustrating.

I had the same problem with my 3490 so it must be a common problem with Garmin devices.

And why do so many roads (other than Motorways and Freeways) not have speed limits built in. I can't understand how the device gives an ETA when it doesn't know the speed limits!

It depends as to whether the mapping supply company has then marked with speed limits. Garmin buy the maps from mapping company's.
It is a little difficult to keep up to date with speed limits in minor roads as local councils change them whenever they feel like it.

Good post

The speed limit of many software disappears when the firmwire is upgraded to the same. I think it depends based on the mapping supply of the speed limits.
