| Posted by valley_games Garmin POI GPI file size confusion I have a Garmin 265W with POI file of vintage 2008. I have become a full member to gain advantage of the POI updates I guess, but I'm concerned about what I'm getting or not getting. For example, my Garmin has a Speed Cameras GPI file 21/7/2008 of 1363KB, yet the one I have created from this web site of Camera-AU.gpx and Traffic_Camera.gpx give a single GPI file of only 536KB. I tried getting your site to extract my current GPI to CVS but the file is too large. To me it seems your site may not have as many cameras as my GPS has in it from 2008! Or am I doing something wrong? |
| Posted by bernienchris gpi file I think you will find that the original Garmin gpi file had more than just speed cameras in it, If i remember correctly mine had other POI loaded as well. If you add other POI you need the gpi file will grow now as well. Cheers, |
