| Posted by tyecorp Garmin Dezl 760LMT 7-Inch Bluetooth Trucking GPS Hi All, I am looking purchasing a Dezl 760 and noticed that personal POI's could not be loaded into this device. I wrote to Garmin and they assured me that quote "POI's can still be loaded on the Dezl 760 as long as they have the GPI format". When I looked at the GPS Data Team POI conversions I don't see Garmin conversions to GPI as an option. Can anyone help me on tis one please - Maurie |
| Posted by beiffe27 Garmin truck GPS Hi I have bought the same GPS and I am loading the POI's in at the moment. There seems to be a slight difference as some of the files I used previously will not work now. They appear in the selection list but you can not select them for use (the button is greyed out). I am experimenting and have got some to work by returning them to a csv file and then lading but still doing some work I find you must have the "-" in the latitude listings or they show as in the northern hemisphere where before it did not care. I like they way it works for my Motor home and some of the features are greatly improved such as the option where it gives a speed change warning about 1 km before the speed change. I like the split view when approaching a turn off on main roads. Also the option to set up for the larger vehicle is great as I have problems with low bridges etc. I had to update the poi loader for it to recognise the new gps and then all worked OK. It names the new file after the name of the directory where it came from so you no longer have to rename after each file download. Regards Brian |
