| Posted by barryns2001 Garmin 265WT Lifetime US&Canada Map Update: Out of Room? Hi I have a Garmin 265WT, which has had no issue with the lifetime map updates from Garmin, however the latest map US&Canada 2013.30 won't load and is telling me I do not have enough space left in the unit and I must choose either Canada and the northern USA, or the southern USA only. This is no good for me as I frequently travel across Canada and to the southern US. This has never happened before - I could always load the entire North American mapset no problem (including the 2013.20 release only a few months ago), and I have not added any new POIs or any other data to the unit since the last update. I do have all of the original voices and vehicle icons etc although I am only using one voice and a custom vehicle icon - do I need to start deleting these to free up enough space for the new US&Canada maps? |
| Posted by johmazz2006 Map updates Would do as you suggest and remove all unwanted/ un-needed extras on the GPS, and if that does not fix the problem, you may have to add an SD card to take all the info.. |
| Posted by jmitsti1 Adding an SD card Adding the SD card works well. By doing that I am also able to add additional maps and switch between versions by going to the map settings. John |
