Audible TomTom POI Alerts

I have read that TomTom has disabled custom POI alerts meaning I presume that Speed Camera POI's from this site will display an icon but not give an audible warning.

Can anyone confirm or dispute this?

Could you please provide a link to where you read that TT had disabled custom POI alerts. Whilst I haven't heard of it, the best option would be to get in contact TT customer support and ask them for clarification.
