| Posted by cwat3126 Garmin 1390T POI Downloads I have a Garmin Nuvi 1390T which I am trying to update the Speed Camera data but I'm not sure which file extensions I need to download. I know I need the .BMP file for the camera icon, but I'm not sure which file extensions I download after that - currently my camera data is voice not chime and I would prefer to keep the voice if possible. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps. |
| Posted by johmazz2006 Re: Garmin 1390T POI Downloads The gpx files have the most information in them, and for sound you will need either the MP3, or, if that on doesn't work, use the WAV file. All files in the group for that individual information will all have to have the same file name with the different extension. |
| Posted by cwat3126 Thanks WOW thanks for your help with this, I tried to figure it out by using the files that are already loaded on my Garmin but they only show up as GPI files so they weren't much help. But now I know what files I need, so thank-you for taking the time to make it a lot clearer. |
| Posted by johmazz2006 Re: Thanks Make sure you have the program POI Loader that manages and compresses all your poi files into 1 (one) file called POI.gpi which it then loads to the GPS. You can not just copy them over to the GPS as they will not work. It is all explained here: http://poidirectory.com/forum/garmin.html |
