| Posted by gdclark Garmin DEZL Sounds I tow a caravan so I looked for a sat nav that took into account driving with it. When I bought my Garmin DEZL I was aware that MP3 files were not catered for and that the warnings would be beeps and bell sounds. I obtained a GPX file that warned of all rail crossings in the UK. Imagine my surprise to find that the warning sounds like a steam train whistle - nothing like the normal sounds. Is there anyone out there who knows how to create files for the Garmin DEZL to give more realistic sounds other than beep or ding? :?: |

| Posted by eponymous sounds I believe you can use any sound as long as you use the correct format for your device (MP3 or WAV (for nuvi). |

What format is the sound currently using if not MP3 ? Sounds like it may be .wav format, so make your own sounds that you like and save them in wav format, and make sure that you name it exactly using the same file name but with the .wav format, then load them into the same directory before using POI loader. |
