Posted by roadrider01 Garmin 3590 LMT I was considering purchasing Garmin's brand new Nuvi 3590 LMT to replace my old 760. Does anyone have any experience with this new model or words of advice? Thanks. RR |

Posted by life.by Re: Garmin 3590 LMT It is good to try it in retailer store, IMO, software changed compare with previous one, especially big screen and heavier than 3790t. But no available for mp3 play, who cares? everyone can listens mp3 via smart phone. More other's views are summarized - this unit really cool is the voice command actually works even in noisy situations.. it gets it right almost every time- just speak the address, city and state in one breath; - fast signal reception; - bluetooth works pretty far to take hands free calls from your phone; - lifetime map updates. 4 updates a year; - it also has real time traffic along with real time photos from cams up ahead on your route; |

Posted by lincrist Garmin 3590 LMT I have a 3490LMT also and recently upgraded to the 3590LMT because the 3490 occasionally reset itself while driving. More importantly, though, it would take up to 20kms to calculate a Detour. So far, the 3590 is performing perfectly. |

Posted by johmazz2006 3590lmt Have had the 3590lmt since march and not one single problem. Screen is much easier to see/read than the smaller 765t I also use occasionally. So far a very reliable unit as per the 765t which is 3 years old. |

Hi there! Based on your postal code I see we are in the same city, Calgary,Alberta. I just purchased this unit and I'm quite pleased with it but compared to my old Magellan 1440 the "Search by Intersection" is really bad, almost useless. Also, the traffic information in Canada in general, Calgary in particular is also useless. Yesterday I followed its suggestion to take Blackfoot South when leaving work but the traffic on Blackfoot was backed up big time because of a crash. In my opinion, if you don't pair this unit with a smartphone is not worth the money. Don't get me wrong, the interface, the navigation the build quality are all good but there are other much cheaper units which will take you from A to B as well. If you really want to use Live Traffic info I think a TomTom would be the way to go... Cheers:) Nelu |
