Can you get external battery for Nuvi 260.

Is the only way to get more battery life by upgrading the internal

Will source a new internal battery. Seems you can not attache an external battery to the GPS

If possible, keep your unit out of direct sunlight/heat when not plugged in to the cigarette outlet. I've discovered the heat often lessens the battery strength or life between charges.

Duracell PPS2

I have one of the instant USB chargers that I keep in the glovebox for my Blackberry, but I bet it works for most sat navs that take a mini usb connection.

I have a friend who has an external battery for his cell phone. It also has the same USB plug as my 3590 has. I haven't tried it, but I'll bet ya a nickle it'l work as his cell phone 120v charger will charge up my 3590. Both put out the proper voltage, and the amps doesn't matter.
