| Posted by rn1774 Need help to get voice alerts by using WAV files I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 1490 LMT but its doesn't have MP3. I need help to get voice alerts by using WAV files. Can anyone please show me steps by steps to get voice alerts using WAV files without MP3 capability? I did download Sox Exe file and place it in my POI files where the POIloader located but still doesn't work. I don't know where I did wrong. If anyone own a Garmin Nuvi 1490 and able to get voices alert, can you please show me an example and steps by steps. |
| Posted by simon-PDB great site for making alerts I have found this ATT site which is great for making .WAV alerts: http://poidirectory.com/forum/topic/1141.html You select the voice you want and then type in the words you want spoken and it produces a .WAV file for you. |
