Attempt to amend POI didn't work

I downloaded another POI for the speed camera database yesterday, and manually deleted some entries from the CSV file relating to cameras which I know are no longer there. Uploaded to my Nuvi using the POILoader with no problems.

However, on driving through the location of the old cameras this morning, my Nuvi is still bonging at me about these cameras.

One issue I can think of is that the other two files (BMP and GPX) were dated differently as I downloaded them on the 10th October, and downloaded a new CSV yesterday (12th October). Would that cause a problem?

I have removed the UK Cyclops file from the Sat Nav. There are differences on the trip as it's now not alerting me about one of the mobile cameras (which it always did with the standard Speed Camera DB) which confirms to me that the UK Cyclops file is definitely gone.

Any ideas what I've done wrong? Is it not that simple?

POI Camera duplications

You mention both CSV and GPX files. What files do you have in the folder you use for POILOader? You should have EITHER CSV or GPX but not both. If you have both, then I think it will use both so you'll get duplicates and in this case, the GPX probably still contains the ones you've deleted.

If you have only the CSV, check that the original didn't have duplications.

Ysterday I played around with extra_POI_Editor (it's available to download from the Web) and it's great for de-duplication files.

Cheers,

POI duplications

Thanks for that - I didn't realise they held the same info. I'll try again without the GPX file. :)
