| Posted by something.else Kenwood/Garmin KNA-431 Installations of POI's HI. New GPS POI Guy here.. Does anyone know how to sounds work on one of these ??, I tried CSV+BMP+MPS for school zones and got it to bong-bong but i had set the POI loader to a proximity alarm. when i reloaded with the default setting of default speed of "0Km/hr" I get nothing ? I also tried GPX + BMP + MP3 with the sme result. I think i am doing something wrong with the POI loader settings or I have the wrong files ?? Any help appreciated ?? Regds Alan of Brissy :cry: |
| Posted by something.else Kenwood KNA-431Au and POILoader V 2.7.0 Interesting Problem. I downloaded the latest POILoader from Garmin and tried to fix my sound problem. So I downloaded Version 2.7.0 and tried to create a "Create POI and install on device" process. The Software actually produces a file called "whatever.poi" rather than whatever.gpi which is completely useless on my unit ? So I tried again and used the source = computer and destination = computer type of process and works fine ?? Also the new version does not support the destination type of Mapsource file (I think). So it looks like i am back to version 2.5.2 since it mostly works ! Regds |
