Motorway Madness

I did a trip back from Shrewsbury to home (near Horsham, West Sussex) last night.

On the M25 near Heathrow, my 765 had a funny turn.

Instead of keeping me on the M25 motorway through J14, it wanted me to go up the slip road, round the roundabout and back down the "on" slip to rejoin the motorway. I don't think it would have been either faster or shorter!

Map versions are CN Europe NT 2011.30 3D and CN Europe NT 2011.32

Anyone else found this?

I have the same thing happen on my 3790t. I think it's the map version. It would be interesting to see if it stops happening after updating the maps?

Thanks Rob, good to know it isn't just me!

I have experienced the same problem

I have experienced this same problem on the M1. And if it is of any comfort to you, have experienced this also with an earlier Michelin via sat nav and also with Tom tom in France.

I had reported this to Michelin who could offer no solution since in checking out their mapping for a particular road junction there were no errors in the software.
I wonder if somtimes spurious satalite reading cause this sort of misinterpretation.

Never the less it can be annoying.

I guess so. About a weeks ago we were going out and i called in at one of the farm cottages about 1/2 mile down the road.

The track (exported from the Garmin to MapSource) shows me overshooting the entrance to the farm lane by 166 ft, returning then going up the farm lane at 92 mph!

Coming out of the farm lane (210 ft) I was allegedly doing 36 mph to the entrance onto the road, reversed all the way back at 144 mph, then came out a second time at 73 mph.

Thankfully, after that it settled down.
