Posted by guest 2 Sat nav sends everyone to wrong place Hi My post code is IP17 2LZ Park Farm, Sibton but most days (i have had 2 already today) I get couriers who put in Park Farm, Thorington IP17 ... and they always end up here at Park farm sibton IP17 2LZ it is very annoying as it occurs several times each day and they are often lorries. Who do I need to tell to get this changed. Many Thanks Anne |
Posted by say170 Reporting errors You don't say which satnav you have, but generally, there should be a way of reporting this back to the manufacturer. You really need to know which SatNav they are using. |
Posted by payments4 Try PAF I would contact the delivery companies - if it is the same few every time, but ultimately the GPS coordinates would all come from some major players - maybe worth contacting royal mail, as I know the satnavs would need the PAF file (postcode address file) to lookup the postcodes. They may be able to point you in the right direction. Mark |
Posted by james-GDT44 Contact royal mail. The delivery companies wont be able to help, its Royal Mail you need to contact, as the poster above says, its the PAF (Postcode Address File) that is maintained by Royal Mail that is wrong. Royal Mail can correct it, then you just have to wait. When the data is updated the GPS suppliers will update their files, and it will no longer be a problem. Royal Mail supply monthly updates to people of their PAF so Im guessing it will take a few months from whenever the PAF is updated to ccorrect this, as long as the GPS people update their info. In reality if you stick to the same couriers they usually remember and will go to the right place. |
