Posted by bgtee Cookies problem, unable to download POI files Hi, don't know if this is the right place to put this post. I am a fully paid up member. I received notice there is an updated file for me to download. As usual, clicked on the link, logged on, and would download the updated POI file. But this time round, I can't download and I kept getting the message, 'You should allow cookies. Your cookies are currently disabled'. I checked and double checked and my cookies are all enabled. So don't know what is happening. Moreover I have never changed my cookie setting and it worked all right in the past. Is anyone else having the same problem? I am using Internet Explorer 8. Thanks. |
Posted by joegriffin Re: Cookies problem, unable to download POI files Yup, I suffer from this. My desktop (Win XP SP1 / IE8) and my current laptop (also XP SP3 / IE8) both give that problem. Fortunately my old laptop (XP SP3 / IE7) lets me get the files. I tried Chrome on the desktop but it's the same. However, when I tried my current lappie from a client's office, to get the opinion/help of their IT guru, it worked! I'd love to crack this, as it would be a lot more convenient to just use the desktop machine. |
Posted by bernienchris chrome I gave up on IE ages ago, try downloading and installing Google Chrome. You wont go back - I don't know of anyone who has yet... :) |
