Posted by johnb6301 HP rx5965 POI Files Installation To anyone who has purchased the above PDA, if you want to update your POI from this website, the following hints may be of assistance to you. * the POI files are made up of 2 files, .BMP and .OV2 files. You must download both of these for each POI that you want to install. * when you down load the files, save them into a sub-directory on your computer, e.g. /My Documents/Tom Tom. You may need to access these files again if you do a factory reset of your PDA. * when you have downloaded the POI files, you need to copy them to the PDA. Make sure you have connected your PDA to your computer and that it has successfully synchronised. Open up Windows Explorer to the following sub-directory of your PDA: \iPAQ File Store\iPAQ GPS\Australia Copy the files into the above sub-directory, and they should then be ready to use on your PDA. Cheers, John |
Posted by spile My rx5935 does not have a \iPAQ File Store\Program Files\iPAQ GPS\ folder. I can create this but what is the name of the map folder, eg Western Europe? I tried this and no joy |
