| Posted by NewGarminUser How to get the 'Ding' aterts to turn (1300 LMT) I bought a Garmin 1300 LMT recently. I have an old Magellan Maestro which gives me a 'ding' alert just before making a turn. I was expecting the same alert from this unit, but it is not there. I am disappointed. Is there a way to turn it on a load it to the unit? Thanks. |
| Posted by hatchm Ding Alerts for Turns Your 1300 LMT has voice prompts (eg "turn left into "Right Street" in 30 metres") which provides you with sufficient before-hand-notice to make the proper turn. Often you are then able to read the street sign and confirm your direction. Isn't that a much better way to be informed of a turn? |
