Two different map sets on a Garmin 3790t

I recently bought a 3790t with an European map set.
Is it possible to install two mapsets at the same time? So far I just have one at the time.

it works! - more or less

I tried the solution from toftnda Posted: Tue Oct 19, 2010 08:32.
I used a sd card with a directory named "Garmin". In this Dir I put the file gmapprom.img and renamed it to gmapsupp.img. Then I'm able to select the card installed on the SD card with the Garmin 3790T.

Now I have two more files
gmaptz.img and gmap3d.img
what is the use of this files and how should I rename these files?
Normaly, when I have installed just one map set I can select two maps.
When installed two map sets I see two europe sets called CN Europe NT 2011.10 3D and CN Europe NT 2011.10 ALL
from the second map source I just see CN xxxx 2010.10 but no 3D Map.

I suppose it has something to do with renaming the gmap3d file.
Does anybody know how to do this?

Yes, you can load 2 mapsets at the same time. Just rename the .img file in your sd card > Garmin folder to:
1. gmapsupp.img
2. gmapsup2.img

Best option is to create a folder called MAP in the root directory and place maps in there you can then rename them whatever you like as long as its an .img.
GPS will recognise all maps as what they are.
