POI Integration

Hi,
As I am new to this site, I wanted to first say a BIG thank you to all contributors, without which I am sure global stress levels would be far higher!

Does anyone out there know how to integrate two or more POI files into one, for example, I want to use the POIs for LPG, but there are two main files, one for Autogas, and one for Calor - I am sure that the co-ordinates could easily be integrated, and one .BMP file used for all - do the online (or otherwise) tools allow for this, recognising duplicate entries et al?
Many thanks in advance.
JK

Re: POI Integration

Hi
You can join 2 or more tomtom files with this tool:
http://tomtom.gps-data-team.com/poi/join-ov2.php (found here: http://tomtom.gps-data-team.com/ )

You can edit your POI fileres with:
http://garmin.gps-data-team.com/extra/ (found here: http://garmin.gps-data-team.com/ )

Thanks for your advice - I took the rather more more scenic route of converting both OV2 files to CSV files, merging into one, then editing the duplicated entries, then converting back to OV2.
My TT seems OK with it, now for the job of getting it to my Bimmers navigation disc!
Note to self: Good luck with that one!!

Many thanks.

BMW iDrive pro

Newbie to the forum, I note that you were/are trying to update iDrive Pro satnav in your car.
Iwould like to do the same.
Basically I was using a 2010 Europe dvd which had 7 digit UK postcode, and european speed cams.
I have now obtained the 3 dvds for 2011, but although there are increased POIs, the speed cams and 7 digit post code options are missing.
I would like to create a custom dvd with speed cams, some of the POIs and postcode on.
Can you help?
I do not even know who makes the BMW system :?
