I have a Harley, so it would have to handle vibration, however, water & dust isn't an issue as it would be mounted behind a screen that does a brilliant job at keeping the water & dust off me. |

| Posted by blazing928 Alterantives to M/C GPS Aldi motorcycle GPS, the new one has bluetooth i think. the old one with FM was not good as the FM was very crackly. Average mapping, but not too bad. Get a normal GPS and use a waterproof holder to protect it, GIVI make one, maybe ORTLIEB as well. The only problem is then bluetooth to get the out put to a head set or you would need to be hard wired. Its quite diffucult using a M/C gps with gloves on and trying to stay on the road, so a non M/C unit may be even worse in the safety respect. |

| Posted by kevin-GDT m/bike satnav I use a nuvi 660t or my nuvi 765t with a 3.5mm audio jack which plugs into our intercom unit [starcom or autocom ] or on the goldwing use a cheap tapehead unit in the tape deck.. The jack out was the reason I got them with this in mind. Some of the navman range has this audio out also but they dont seem as durable,the old packard bell 400 was great for this mine got soaked a few times but still solgered on. You should not program whilst moving anyway so gloves are not a problem. :) |

| Posted by jason.learmonth Garmin Zumo I recently used a Garmin Zumo on a motorcycle on several occasions & it was very good. It performed with ease whilst having motorcycle gloves on, it was waterproof, and the mapping / navigation prompts was all good. The Zumo model I used had the bluetoothing ability with a mobile phone and that worked rather seemlessly too. |

I thoroughly recommend the Zumo 660. Water is still an issue when parked at the cafe enjoying the latte, so the waterproof bit is important. The Zumo is glove friendly, The stereo bluetooth music is brilliant, the phone interface works a treat. I previously had the 550 and it is also excellent but screen is a lot smaller. Both unit are rugged construction and will handle the vibration. both come with all the hardware to mount to your bike. |
