| Posted by checksight Nuvi 265W vs Nuvi 265WT The car or auto charging cord provided with the garmin can be one of two types! The first one supplies only basic power to keep your Garmin charged while traveling, while the second type of charging cord has a built in receiver or modual integrated into the cord. This built in modual is capable of receiving transmitted local traffic reports and or real time road conditions within the selected route that garmin has provided as per your destination instructions. These traffic reports will be received usually when entering large cities or heavily congested areas of traffic. I hope this helps explain what the "T" designation means when you open a new 265W and cannot figure out why it was sold to you under a 265WT! The power cord is the "T" receiver. |
