I recently joined and downloaded Speed Trap POIs for MD and have found some duplicate POIs for the same location. I live in the area and know the current locations for the cameras. |

| Posted by Andrew-GDT Re: Providing Corrections fo Free POI Files Hi You, as a registered member, can use our POI Zone Management tools: Local - to set your Local POI Zone, Visualizer - to visualize all local POIs, Edit - to change coordinates and/or POI descriptions, Add - to add a new location to a file, Delete - to delete POIs, etc. All our POI tools are easy to use. By using these tools are the updates then shared with other members? I've also noticed some recent changes which aren't yet reflected in the POI files and while I can update them on my PC for my own GPS I'd like to provide some benefit by sharing them with others. I've found this to be a good way to solve your issue(s). I create a folder on my desktop titled Data Team xx day / xx month. Then I sign in to Data Team and check for updates in the Road Safety section. When an update is available you are given an option to RUN or SAVE. I Save it to the folder I had just created and then check for upates in the other states I travel in as well. Then open Garmin POI Loader on your computer, Choose Garmin Device, click NEXT - Confirm your make/model number are shown correctly, click NEXT - Choose Install new custom POI's on your device, click NEXT - Choose BROWSE to locate that new folder you just created, left click the folder ONCE to highlight it, click OK - click NEXT and you're done. As far as I know, when you Install new custom POI's on your device that is overriding the existing custom POI's on your device with new ones. Anyone else care to agree with me on the format I follow? It seems to have kept me up to date with mobile speed traps, speed cameras, etc. |
