Posted by Thomy Creating POI / GPX Hello. I would like to make a POI file with paragliding sites in Slovenia. I think a suitable format could be GPX. I am not a pc beginner (but GPS beginner), but I had no luck searching the web for usable help. I would like to fill an Excel spreadsheet and convert it in a usable GPS format. Is there an easy way? Posted by Guest Studying I've done some search and I managed to do a lot with online POI Loader... I still have to work on it a bit more though. I need a conversion tool from excel... but I am not familiar with the columns I can use, the length of the columns... and finally a software that creates a usable file for the gps... I would like to put the phone number in an appropriate column, a longer description (that contains also commas - there is usually a problem with them) and so on. Not just coordinates, name and description... But I am not able to find appropriate guidelines and a software that translate this correctly... Maybe keeping it simple (coordinates, name, description) is the wise way to go... More universally compatible... I don't know... Tom |
