| Posted by dmnrolo Original POIS from Garmin Hi..I'm new here.I am from Brazil and I am going to travel to California and Nevada(Las Vegas).I have a 255w and I have the original map that came with the GPS.. But accidentaly my husband put POIS from Brazil in the garmim folder and I think the original pois are all subscribed.. How can I have the original GPS pois? I saw at the garmim site and I have to pay for an updated maps..$70..I don't travel to USA to much..so.. I have already dl some pois from here.. But I did one by one.. As we are going to travel by car during 16 days I would love to have like a full informations POIS from these 2 states.. Like all in one.. Can you help me? Kisses Denise |

| Posted by hfa8592 Re: Original POIS from Garmin If you contact Garmin to let them know what happened, they may be willing to provide you with the original POI's for free. Otherwise, unless your unit came with a CD with the data on it, you may have no choice but to purchase the POI file. Alternately, there are hundreds of custom POI files available for download in CSV format that replace the original Garmin POI's, especially if you are going to be in major destination areas. |
