| Posted by rothwepet Nuvi 1490T favourites "categories" question This is about the 'Favourites' as opposed to the 'Extras' where the custom POIs live. I'm having a few problems and would like to get rid of all the categories ~ but can't find a way to do it. It will let me make new categories ~ but not delete them or even rename them. Basically, it keeps putting certain favourites into certain categories (even when I've repeatedly unchecked them from the category box) and it's also created categories of it's own volition: Map Points and Co-ordinates , Parking and Vehicle Services . I've only actually created one category ~ the three mentioned above just appeared. My question is ~ how can I get rid of the categories? Thanks very much. |

| Posted by pool100 change the category All you have to do is to select the locations from your favorites sub-folders and click on the point ("Press for more"). Once clicked, it will show on the map where it is. Now click on the location on the map. It will bring you to an options page of that particular location. Click "edit" and select "change categories". Change to that particular category you want it to appear in. Bingo! |

Does this mean you have to do each one individually? I would want to change whole POI categories at once, anyone know if this is possible? Same as original question really, to change from 'extras' to main screen category. Cheers, :) |
