| Posted by sharyn Tom Tom Map Offering Changed Again within a week Last week I updated one of my Tom Tom One IQ Routes Edition GPS and is cost around $100. Update of map worked good, no problems with that, even though the updated map still does show all the new Melbourne freeways that are now in operation. I find this frustrating that you purchase the latest maps and they are not current. Anyway, this evening I thought I would update my other Tom Tom One IQ Routes GPS and now I am offered for the same price the updated map and four updates during the years. Would have been nice to have that 4 updates in a year option last week on the other unit. You never seem to win on these deals. It seems up purchase a GPS today just like a printer at a reasonable price and then to keep tthe unit operating you have to purchase comusables ink or in the GPS situation maps that cost around one third of the price of the original unit. |
| Posted by g_vegys3 Same problem :( Still seems to be same problem 2.5 years later. You never know what you buy from Tomtom. What they say is that you get "latest map", but what they fail to say is that you get old, pre-installed maps. |
