| Posted by NickHark How do you install Europe maps into Mapsource? I have the Nuvi 885T and it has North American and Europe NT 2010 on it. I use mapsource on my PC and it has the North American maps on it, but not Europe. How do I load Europe maps on PC. I do have all disks including Europe DVD, but it merely tries to reinstall (overwrite) on 885T. I have tried using mapsource's transfer maps to PC but Mapsource says unit has no maps on it. |
| Posted by NickHark Solved After wasting a couple of hours I stumbled on the solution. Since I had bought an upgrade version of Europe CN I had to reinstall version 8 AND 9, and then the 2010 version (10) using the setup disk and data disk, and then unlocking the maps in each to get the latest version unlocked and working. What a pain! |
| Posted by hatchm Installing Maps in Mapsource I am a computer illiterate and take the easy way out. I recently needed maps of Europe so I purchased them online, loaded on an SD card. They cost me about AU$70 and work like a dream. For me that was the easiest solution. Since becoming a member I have downloaded UK POIs and they really compliment the info on the UK at least. |
