Posted by goddard Garmin 660 - display POI icons (safety camera's) - how...? Please can somebody help me...what am I doing wrong? I have a new Garmin 660 (BMW Motorrad navigator 4) and just registered with the GPS Data Team service yesterday. I downloaded the country wide GPX and BMP files for Switzerland (all Safety Camera's), saved them in a single file folder and successfully loaded them to my NAV 4 using the POILoader. I got an on-screen message saying "Congratulations - you have successfully loaded 2984 POI's..." If I click on Where To? > Extra's > Custom POI's > then I see All Categories and if I click further I see each POI along with the detail if I click further. So far so good. However, when I load a destination and claculate the route...no matter what level of depth, detail or magnification of the route map, I don't see any of the safety camera icons. I see other icons (such as my home icon) but no others. What am I doing wrong? Many thanks in advance for any help. |
Posted by cyongt ... If you are on a route, you have to make sure that "POI" is not set to "Off" in your Map Feature (under Tools>Settings>Map). It will show up in Tools>Browse Map. Make sure your map detail is NOT set to "Least" (also under Tools>Settings>Map). Regards, cyongt |
