Posted by cakesy Apple's iPad Anybody tried out GPS on the new ipad? I know it uses AGPS, which is not as good as proper GPS (I think only a few phones have the proper GPS, like the Nokia N900), but it looks like such an amazing device. Have used google maps on it, it works great. |
Posted by Guest iPad 3G GPS I'll wait for a proper GPS iPad 3G. AGPS is just not reliable for any GPS SatNav software use. |
Posted by infonatal iPad 3G GPS A-GPS = ASSISTED GLOBAL POSITION SYSTEM The iPad Wifi Model does not have built-in GPS hardware. Just the iPad Wifi+3G has the proper Gps hardware and works great like the iphone 3GS. Ipad is better, faster with better resolution. Eduardo |

Posted by rogers.barry iPad There are several apps that reported work well with the iPad and iPhone, GPS Drive Motion X and MapQuest are free or low cost. (99 cents for Motion X). A 3G model is required for the iPad. |
Posted by inf_-PDB4 Ipad I have iPad 1 and Navigation only works in wifi which obviously isn't very useful... |
