| Posted by vatoonen1 Splash screens I have a Garmin 265WT, and was loking for a deterrent to people that may recieve a stolen GPs. To do this all you need to do is to change the screen shown at start-up. You can in a photo suite make a jpeg with text or pictures. When you have made a picture file, save it in the jpeg folder in the GPS. Disconnect the GPS from the computer, turn it on and view the picture in full screen mode and click on "INFO", then tick the "show at startup" box and close the picture. Shut down the GPS and restart it, and the details you have added will show up before the security pin screen. |
