| Posted by satech83 Custom Vehicles and default settings for vehicle type I have a Winnebago motorhome 33 foot long and am travelling around Australia. I prefer to use my Garmin Nuvi 310 GPS to navigate instead of the built in VDO GPS because I can get updates on important safety and travel POIs from the GPS Data Team web site. I'm can't find similar POI updates for the VDO system unless I buy new software each year (over AU$400) which I can't afford and it does not give me all the POI's I want. Does anyone have an icon for a motorhome and is it possible to set up the Nuvi 310 to take into account the length of the vehicle when approaching intersections and other road coordinates. Also, I would like an option to avoid unsealed (gravel) roads which I can set as a default in the same way as tolls and motorways. Is this possible to do :?: |
| Posted by span2307 roads Not sure about vehicle size settings, but I do recall an option in the 'settings' menu of the 310 that allowed you to choose to avoid unsealed roads. |
