Map Corrections

I have just purchased a new GPS Tom Tom XL IQ 340 and love it.

However I am having trouble with editing the map when I find an error.

Eg. If I find a street that has the wrong or no speed associated with it I am trying to change it and most of the time is ok, however if the street has 2 or 3 different speed zones how do you choose a start and stop position so you don't put the wrong speed in the wrong part of the street.

Another think if you make a change and find you have done it wrong how do you go back and delete it or correct it.

You need to select the zones of the street, for various speed limits, that are usually seperated by other connecting streets.

As far as I can tell there is no way to select only part of a street.

When you mark the map for correction then go to deal with it you only have the one marker you have placed on the map and all it says is it correct or not. It doesn't give a starting or ending point on the street or road to just change those sections only.

I am currently awaiting a call back from Tom Tom on this issue.

I have found that you can select part of a street with the latest TomTom software/maps.
When you first select the street that requires changing the whole street is indeed selected however when you press DONE you should get another screen asking "Is the highlighted selection correct? If not select 'Edit' to change individual road sections. Press Edit.
The next screen displays
"You may now add or remove sections of streets by selecting or deselecting them. The selected parts will receive a new speed limit"
Press Continue
On the next screen you can select or deselect parts of the street, or indeed if not careful select parts of other streets.
