| Posted by acflint Nuvi 765 Irritating late alerts The single biggest complaint I have with this unit and when I lent it to my brother in law he made the same comment, that being, the time it allows before giving you the turn left/right etc. always occurs at the intersection, so a lot of the time you zoom past and have to re- route to get back. On my Tomtom 710 you can adjust this distance, is this possible on the Garmin? |

I have the 765 and it gives plenty of warning when to turn, also, you can see the countdown in metres from intersection (display in top left corner). If you want traffic (speed etc) alerts earlier, you can set distance warning prior to loading the GPI file form the poi loader program.. john |
