A year ago, I bought one of those "Navalert" devices that tell you where red light cameras and speed traps and mobile speed cameras are in the whole of the United States. The device is accurate, but it can tell you only that particular info. Now it's a year later, and I buy a TomTom One 140s for $99.00 (black friday sale), find THIS site, and for a measly 7 bux more, I can install TONS of software, including POI updates that cover ALL of the info that the Navalert does, PLUS all the luxuries of the tons of Tom Tom GPS functions, PLUS having the luxury of having it all in ONE unit instead of having to mount TWO units on the dash. This site is GREAT! Most UN-techie people wouldn't be able to understand all the updating, POI files, etc, but for us that have tech savvy (which has GOT to be everyone on this site), this website is a GOLD MINE! Thanks for having it up, and I look forward to d/lding TONS of cool POI updates! |
