| Posted by markrieken Gamin 260w Maps on SD Card Can anyone shed some light on a problem I'm having with reading extra maps from my SD card on the Garmin 260w. I have loaded the files onto the SD card. As described in the forum. I.e. conected to computer with USB cable and loaded through My Computer where you can see it on card. How do I select the map on the device? Or even have it show up in the Map list. Type of file trying to load ends in .img Is this the correct file type? |

I can only say I have never heard of putting maps on the SD. I load all my POI's & Pictures and other extras there. Also, my 269W was just recalled by Garmin (battery fault) and replaced with a new 255W. If you still have your 260W I would check their website for recall details. Cheers :) |
