| Posted by jimmyfro5 Device malfunction Error message I don't know if its a dead battery, or fried battter, or a short, but my device won't power up now and when I plug it in to update maps via USB, it says USB DEVICE HAS MALFUNCTIONED, PLEASE RECONNECT AND TRY AGAIN OR REPLACE DEVICE. It has been difficult lately when powering on, but usually the PC connection revives or wakes it up. Now nothing will turn it on. Any tricks, resets, battery replacement? Jim |

| Posted by Dileco Is Garmin playing games?? I know four other people whose Garmin GPS has started to malfunction. We are beginning to wonder if it is something that Garmin is doing to create this problem. It just seems to be more than a coincidence that everyone's device is messing up at the same time. I keep getting a message that says low battery and then the system goes out. |
