Posted by GPS Navman 55t Battery not charging? So far, other than the terrible manual, this is a great system. One question, there is a warning that comes up saying my battery is critically low. This happens almost all the time. I use the cig lighter charger and the one for my USB port on my pc. Still the same issue. Any thoughts? HELP! Thanks... Alan |
Posted by shikun.zhou Simply they are rubbish Navman's batteries are worst among those I used. Maybe you need to charge your unit from mains supply rather than USB or in car. USB charger only gives you 10 mA to 30 mA charging power and cig lighter only charge at about 50 to 100 mA. Mains supply will normally charge more than 300mA. Some faster charger can reach 500mA. You can easily see the different. Beside that, there is nothing you can do for Navman's battery. |
Posted by alanzs Battery is hopeless... Thanks, I'll give that a try. Great GPS, but the hopeless battery is a serious detraction for this unit... |

Posted by Kaibigan1947 Battery Charging Issues I've had my MCam for less than a week now and I have, and have had several issues. Battry charging is one of them. I cannot charge on any car charger or USB power from my PC. It MUST be plugged into a direct 240V USN B charger. |
Posted by Pop Jelly Poor performance from Navman 650 I have a Navman 650 model, 6 months old but trouble from day 1. My Navman is ok if used every day for a fair amount of time. Leave it a day or so and that stupid agreement comes up and then sometimes the speed limit works, sometimes the voice works, hit and miss. Worst nav machine ever. Battery always flat. Can you get another battery for it? |
