| Posted by ikhalede Garmin poi loader options to upload the POI When I uses Garmin POI loader, I found there are 3 option to upload the POI I'm only experienced with one option , the one that download the files to the garmin extras I tried to use the other 2 I could understand what the 1st one was doing, it was like doing nothing!! And I found that the 3rd one just build a file on a pc folder (that's it? what's the benefit of this file? Any explanation from garmin professionals are appreciated (I'm still newbie even after one year of using the unit!) |
| Posted by drianfok ? error msg? is there an error msg? use the first option to get the file put onto your garmin directly. if not use the 3rd option & then transfer the file from your computer to the poi folder in your garmin. |
| Posted by ikhalede More info No errors, The 1st option works fine with me But I'm such a curious person , this is why I'm asking what is the benefits of using the 2nd option, map source: is it good for anything or it's just there to wonder about?! |
| Posted by johmazz2006 POI loader options The Mapsource option allows you to place all your POI's into the mapping program and bee seen onscreen as per GPS. Has some very good uses. |
